Prints on wood blocks

These are my latest finds from Etsy. I have a new thing for blocks. I want to share a few examples, all by different artists, which you can go explore via the links below or D.I.Y it yourself by getting wood blocks, your favourite pictures from your album and a couple of tools.

Uncommongoods

I want to share my favourites from the site called uncommongoods.

I really like this teakl bowl.

Who says bird houses are for outside only? I don't have a bird nor an "outside" such as a backyard since I live in a condo in Brooklyn, but I would definitely use this as a home decor in one of my rooms.

Looove this robot-pot. You gotta have some humour in your decor too; something to put a smile to your face when you sit on your chair with a cup of tea.

This gun vase is interesting. Not sure I would buy it for myself, but interesting enough that I would consider it as a gift.
I love these distorted candleholders. And that muted blue is gorgeous.
This faucet sculpture is the definition of a "conversation piece".
Bike chain bowl; cool for an entryway table.

Bike chain frame. Great frame gift for a guy.

Now these jar tiles may not work for everyone, because they just may not go well with every wall or backsplash, but for those who can make it work into their existing decor, this is definitely something to consider, as they are so adorable.
I love this bookshelf. Of course you can D.I.Y. it by using two identical coffee tables and sawing them in half, and you will get four shelves, which then you can paint in any color and attach them on top of one and another, and get to save money by doing that.
These look like the real thing, but they are actually glass balloons. Sooo cute. A must-consider for a nursery.

Cool rope door stop.
By the way, I am editing this post with good news.

Can't have enough chairs

I had seen suitcase-turned-dog-beds. This chair is yet another re-purposing of the suitcase (by Katie Thompson):

Love the curves on this one. Jury is out on how comfortable it would be to sit on though:

And I love this Frost chair by furnID. Simple and elegantly modern.

Hive storage

I don't have any more space in my apartment for storage, but I find these hive shelf systems really nice. If I bought them however, I probably would have painted them in some other color. You can find them at 2modern and cb2.

Marvels of Hayon Studio

Instant love!! Tudor chair by Huyon Studio. I would prefer silver legs though.

This vase by Hayon Studio should perhaps be in the "Art" section of my blog, because it is truly a work of art.

And I am speechless but loving this green chicken by Hayon Studio, which clearly rocks!

I also love these copper (they also come in silver) vases by Hayon Studio.

And these evil eye (I don't know why in English it is called "evil eye"; because it implies that the eye symbolizes evil,  while in actuality, as the superstition goes,  the eye supposedly protects one FROM the evilness of others) bowls and vases are designed by Hayon Studio for a Turkish  company called Gaia and Gino.

Accessories that I like

And some accessories to bring a fun vibe to any room (You can find them here and here):

This handpainted porcelain vase by Jaime Hayon for Lladro looks whimsical and so cute.

And this  porcelain candleholder by Maxim Velcovsky for Quubus looks creepy at times, but it is interesting nevertheless. I like how he "grows hair" as the candle melts. I actually may buy this one day.

And I have been wanting some of these vases and sculptures (but not that boob lamp; that would just freak me out) by Jonathan Adler for a long time, like the marvelous dora maar vase (first one below). If I still like that vase in two years, I may eventually end up buying it, because that means it is just meant to be.

Antoine + Manuel & Jamie Hayon

Check out this cabinet by Antoine + Manuel. It is deliciously weird.

And this is a sexier version of that cabinet by Jamie Hayon. The lamps are noteworthy as well.
